I agree with Idafreak - I was in New Brunswick 2 years ago and a major planned mma event was cancelled - it made the newspaper, so I called the promoter to see where the difficulty came up. He said that until the sport is regulated to the extent that boxing is, the municipalities were unwilling to host the event. There's no sanctionning body like the Nevada State Boxing Commission to control the sport. It's almost a circular problem - the sport isn't big enough for the host municipalities to develop a governing body, and there's no governing body, so the municipalities don't want to touch the sport for liability reasons, among others. Sorry Andrew, hate to see you lose the only one you have left.
